Advantages of metatags: Meta tags are used by some lesser known search engines. Meta tags gives SEO advantage with the search engines. It appears in search results with search engines. Well written meta tags attract the searchers to the page than snippets of text from the page. Meta tags may be a factor with some lesser known search engines. Misspellings may also appear in the search engine if you use them on the web page. Disadvantages of metatags: Time spent working on meta tags is time taken away from your optimizing your site with those keywords which is more important. When you use meta tags, you are telling your competitors exactly what keywords you are optimizing for each page. Competitors can take those lists carefully you crafted and optimize their own sites for the same keywords.   Analysing between two e-commerce website : There is two E-commerce websites Nike and Under Armour. These are the shoes brand and most popular one.  There is a home page of Nike. In the Nike website firstly on the upper left side there is logo and then menu bar (New Release, Men, Women, Kids, Sale, Collections and then search after that there is favourite and cart. In the middle of the page there Four to Five images that changes in the minute, like now Two kids wearing Nike cloths and using tablet. Nike    This is Under Armour website it looks bit same as Nike. In this Website on the upper left side there is logo. In the upper middle of the website there is menu (Back to school, Shoes, Men, Women, Kids, Outlet) and after the menu there is search bar and then favourite.
