Computing definition of E- Commerce

E-Commerce Stands for Electronic commerce. It is platform which is use as a business on the Internet. In the E-commerce some of the websites are very popular like amazon, eBay, Market place and Deliveroo, etc.(Techterms.com, 2022)

 E-commerce have several major types.

  • Business to consume (B2C).
  • business to business  (B2B).
  • Business to business to consumer (B2B2C).
  • Business to government (B2G).
  • Consumer to business (C2B). 
  • Direct to consumer (D2C).
  • Consumer to consumer (C2C).
Companies like Amazon serve mostly as B2C directly to consumer. Some other companies do work with B2B that directly provide products and services exclusively to other business. B2B2C is a business where an industry or company sell there product to the customer with the partnership of other firm. B2G is the E-commerce where the company works with government of the country. In this commerce government gives full contract to the company. C2B is the category where the other people do marketing to sell the product and company gives him a percentage this marketing called Affiliate marketing. (BigCommerce, 2022)

Types of E-commerce (Bing.com, 2022) The first one is BUISNESS to CUSTOMER, B2C businesses sells directly to their end users. Anything you buy in an online store as a consumer from wardrobe and household supplies to entertainment is done as part of business to customer transaction.B2C includes products and services as well. Examples include Target.com and Macys.com. These go between put buyers and sellers together without owning the product or service.(Big Commerce, 2022) The second one includes Business to Business, a business sells its products or services to another business. Sometimes, the buyer is the end user but the buyer often resells to the consumer. B2B transactions generally have a longer sales cycle.
